How a cartoon gets made

Name the cartoon
Your child types a title. "The Dragon Who Lost His Roar" is a good start, and so is anything they make up.

Describe the first picture
Toonaroo asks "What's in the picture?". Your child answers in their own words, and Toonaroo draws it.

Next it asks "How should it move?". The dragon flaps its wings, the rocket takes off. Toonaroo animates the scene.

Why describing beats drawing for young children
A five year old can tell you a whole story about a dragon, a lost sock and a trip to the moon. Drawing it frame by frame is another matter. Toonaroo lets them use the skill they already have, which is imagination and talking, and turns it into pictures.
It also builds real storytelling habits. Each scene needs a "what happens" and a "how it moves", which is exactly how a storyboard works in a real animation studio.
